Lucky seven: Weekly letter with five quotes and two doses of reflection. Feel free to share with others if you find something inspiring!

Today, let's explore some quotes shared by Abraham H. Maslow.

  1. I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.
  2. A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be
  3. Life is an ongoing process of choosing between safety (out of fear and need for defense) and risk (for the sake of progress and growth). Make the growth choice a dozen times a day.
  4. Self-actualized people...live more in the real world of nature than in the man-made mass of concepts, abstractions, expectations, beliefs and stereotypes that most people confuse with the world.
  5. Not allowing people to go through their pain, and protecting them from it, may turn out to be a kind of over-protection, which in turn implies a certain lack of respect for the integrity and the intrinsic nature and the future development of the individual.

And two thoughts from my side:

  1. Money is often considered the key to success, but the truth is, it's not. When it comes to inventing new things or achieving breakthroughs, having a lot of money is unnecessary. Most breakthroughs are made by people who lack money, not by billionaires. The rich would have bought them all if breakthroughs could be bought. Instead, it takes qualities like passion, persistence, belief, and ingenuity to invent new things, often possessed by the poor and young. So, don't let the limits you have discourage you. Instead, use them as catalysts to grow even more!
  2. If faced with two comparable choices, choose the more difficult and painful one in the short term. Unlock your full potential by embracing the journey of gradual self-improvement. Savor the many benefits that await you along your chosen path. Remember, slow and steady wins the race.

Have a great week ahead, and see you on the next occasion!
